Finally, Watford have their revenge. After losing to Crystal Palace in the 2013 Championship play-off final and the 2016 FA Cup semi-final, they have made it past their bogey team. As the crowd sang loud at the final whistle, Javi Gracia’s side are on their way to Wembley. And in the process they have consigned Roy Hodgson to another season without an FA Cup semi-final appearance.
Most bloggers start off with enthusiasm, the excitement of creating a blog and the joy of writing to the world. Then at some point the burnout comes. It is often called “bloggers burnout” some call it “mental block”.
Burnout can stop your blogging dreams, it will make you loose interest.
If your blogging style is not particularly about news copy, I mean where there is an event and you have all the details to put together but the type where you have to motivate yourself, research topics and create graphics burnout will come.
I am here to share 5 steps that will help you overcome blogging burnout.
If you have been a writer for a long time you had probably suffered blogging burnout.
Before we dive into the deep.
What is blogging burnout?
Blogging burnout is a period when a blogger feels less motivated to write or blog. It is a serious loss of enthusiasm and focus on the side of the blogger.
These things happen when there is blogging burnout.
- You may think despite working hard on yourself and your blog it is not paying off, and it deflates you.
- You may also think you have run out of topics, you often feel there is nothing more to write.
- You may be overworked.
- May be you goals are not been meticulously met.
- Your side hustles or activities around you is taking your time and energy.
If you are experiencing burnout you are definitely not alone. Don’t be discouraged any further.
Whatever the cause of your burnout, here are some practical ways to fly again.
1. Set Realistic Goals:
Simplify the target you set for yourself. If burnout comes you should try and relax on your goals. If you set a goal to blog everyday, you might have to break it down to 3 times a week.
Your dreams might be to achieve millions of readers every week, and you are just in your tens or few hundreds, don’t be hard on yourself, give yourself time. It usually takes years to achieve big goals and you need to be consistent. If burnout comes you can revisit your goals and Break it down.
2. Reconsider Your Blogging oftenness:
Perhaps blogging daily is cumbersome, and scaling your blogging frequency back a little should help. Your blogging schedule can be pegged at four times. Blog writing must not be a rapid process by any means, it takes a lot of planning, research, writing, editing, and perfecting before hitting publish.
3. Take a Break:
Taking a break to sleep, rest, go on a vacation will help rejuvenate your blogging aptitude. After working on your blog you can take a walk to refresh yourself. Excercise and rest, this will rest your nerves.
It is also important to unplug regularly so you’re not thinking about your blog all day, every day. If you are experiencing blogging burnout you should rest.
4. Fit Inspiration Into Your Schedule:
Once everyday I listen to motivation audio or videos. This is one of the most powerful things I do. I listen to variety of talks, videos, to motivate me. There’s a playlist on my phone, most times I use it to kick start my day or I use them to get perspectives. If you are burning out listen to motivational audios, you can get them on YouTube.
5. Read to Find Inspriration:
Blogging burnout happens sometimes because you just don’t know what to write about anymore. I suggest you should read some new blogs on topics that interest you, some magazines. Read and enjoy it. You might find something that sparks something in you, compelling you to write. I have this app feedly, I have listed and organised blog and website browse daily to refresh Myself, it helps.
Are you struggling with blogging or have you struggled with blogging burnout? How did you overcome it? I’d love to hear your experiences with this. We can all learn a little something from others’ struggles.
My friend if you have not done this mixture please do. You Know in Nigeria we have plenty mixtures of food. Some eat bread and indomie, maize and coconuts, bread and Garri etc.
I was introduced to coconuts and debinu (dates) Meeeeeen… the taste is sploufious. And initially, I felt una don come with una combinations be dat.
I rejected the offer but last last I change my mind and I decided to give it the doubt of benevolence, oh my gosh, I was taken far back to the days of ooooold times. Really it’s very tasty.
The creamy taste is unique and different. I know my friends in the east of Nigeria and west and south might find it hard to find so I am creating a market for it.
If you need order now and I will send you plenty. It’s not expensive.
I’ll be writing about some other benefit of this wonderful combo later…
Am off to church later.

I know someone with a very aggressive personality, someone who is dedicated to excellence.
In his latest post on social media, he talks about leadership, how young minds can create the desired change in their society and stair the wheel of leadership at a young age.
He is John Obidi, read the following and share the process explained below.
1. Give it a catchy and memorable name. Add ‘Africa’ at the end – Mentor Hub Africa for example.
2. Create a compelling value proposition that is tied to the UN MDGs or SDGs – We empower at-risk youth in Nigeria with skills required to end poverty and compete favourably in the global economy.

4. Get free publicity by announcing in religious centres and on facebook.
5. Take plenty pictures of smiling attendees showing the impact of your work.
6. Get video testimonials
7. Post the results on Facebook, Instagram and on your website.
8. Tell your mentors about what you’ve done and ask if they can help you get TV/Radio opportunities to talk about it. I’ve done this for a lot of people. I ignore those who come to me with empty hands and empty minds.
9. Take pictures and videos of you on TV/Radio and post on Social Media and on your website for more recognition and traction.
10. Next thing, you’ll be nominated for one award. Then CNN African Voices

So this morning on bed, I was having a concise thought about who God is, the angels, how real are these things, how do they operate.
The truth is that I want to enjoy the presence of God and the visitation of angels, like we have in the Bible.
Since the day I married my beautiful wife Marie, I know God had placed me as a covering to her and all our children, much more so that I want them to enjoy God’s love and presence everyday.
As a husband and husband to be, build yourself to be a covering to your wife and children, in my new article, I will be sharing some experiences how I have learnt to be a covering as a husband.
I have been learning believe me.
To the juice…
It will guide you right if you choose to marry a woman of your dreams if you see it as God sees it. Searching for it as God will search for it, asking as God will want to ask. Well God is answerable to no one… But we’re to Him
Most times we deal with humans from the physical appearance. A friend once said when I saw her from afar I just knew she was my wife, I was at the airport and she was walking down, I went and told her she’s mine and we’re married. I wouldn’t want to gamble like that.
I will never judge anyone with their appearance so I will not choose a wife with her looks alone.
If God want to choose, where does he look; the heart. Character, attitude, behaviour, and the likes.
David was small and Ruddy, Gideon, Peter was a fisher man. Even Zacheus was small. But there’s something about these men, they are lowly, believing, trusting, faithful, diehard…
Remember these men chosen by God were not perfect, even after different encounters with God they still made mistakes.
The man and the lady are not perfect they must be lowly, believing and trusting. Stop looking for a perfect husband or wife.
I asked the Lord as I lay on my bed in deep thoughts, He said, I look at the heart first.
Trust God to help you, and He will. Our understanding is limited especially in heart issues. That’s why we were told in “Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
When you marry a lady with the right heart, it helps you love the other things. God will always tell you what to do, and how to go about loving yourselves.
2Timothy 1:9 For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.
If I may ask, what are the things you care about in your spouse or spouse to be.
Are they from the heart or the body. Are they from God or man.
Here is my prayer:
The Lord direct your hearts into the love of God… In Jesus name amen.
